Nesbitt Hall Repairs

As some of you have noticed, there are ongoing masonry repairs to the exterior of Nesbitt Hall, which is being done to satisfy City of Philadelphia Requirements. The repairs require cutting out mortar at brick joints at various places on the facade and cutting out cracked brick and stone to be replaced. Unfortunately, as some of you have noticed, this will cause some noise inside the building where they are working.

We recognize the noise has created a challenging environment for some, so we wanted to update you that facilities has asked the contractor to try and complete the drilling (noisy) work each day before 9:00AM so our hope is that this will reduce the impact on those of us in Nesbitt. Finally, the project is tentatively scheduled for completion by the end of 2021, weather permitting.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact Mary Ellen Sarno or Dayana Marshall
