How do I RSVP for Commencement?

Once you’ve applied for your degree, you’ll receive access to the Commencement RSVP on the Drexel One Student Checklist. The deadline to RSVP for Commencement 2023 will be announced in the Spring 2023 quarter.

How do I obtain tickets for the University and/or Dornsife ceremony?

You can request tickets when RSVPing for Commencement. Students are guaranteed 4 tickets to the Dornsife ceremony, and 6 tickets to the University ceremony. All guests must have a ticket to be admitted to Commencement. Graduates will not need tickets for themselves. Children over the age of 2 will need a ticket.

The University ceremony will be live-streamed on the Commencement website.

How do I request extra tickets for the University and/or Dornsife ceremony?

When RSVPing for Commencement, you can request extra tickets. Due to seating availability, extra tickets are extremely limited and not guaranteed. If your request is granted, you will be able to pick up all requested tickets at the Graduation Fair. If you are unable to attend the Graduation Fair to pick up tickets, you must visit the Office of the Dean in Main Building, Suite 220 or pick up tickets at check in the day of the ceremony. Dornsife does not manage distribution of Commencement tickets.

If you have already RSVP’d for Commencement and need extra tickets, please email enroll@drexel.edu with your name, University ID, Drexel email and number of tickets requested for respective ceremonies.

How do I order regalia?

Regalia is the cap and gown dress required for graduates to participate in commencement ceremonies. All Drexel regalia is custom blue and gold, with more custom options for doctoral graduates. You must RSVP to Commencement in order to access the online ordering link. Order deadlines are dependent on the regalia type. Please visit the Commencement page for more information. If you missed the deadline to order regalia, please contact the bookstore for further assistance.

Where do I pick up my regalia?

Regalia may be picked up from the bookstore at Center City or University City or shipped home.

Do I need to pay for regalia?

Purchase of regalia is required, and students without the appropriate regalia will not be permitted to process at ceremonies.

Am I able to rent regalia?

Neither Drexel nor Dornsife provide regalia renting services. At this time, Drexel and Dornsife do not offer support to purchase or subsidized costs for regalia.

I am an undergraduate student and am graduating with Latin Honors. Will I receive a cord?

Dornsife offers cords for Undergraduate students who are graduating with Latin Honors. If you are eligible for Latin Honors, you will be emailed by the Student Affairs office to pick up your cord in June.

I am a graduate student and am graduating with a 4.0 GPA. Will I receive a cord?

No, cords are only available for undergraduate students. However, you may consider applying to join Delta Omega (forms due mid-April) to receive a stole for commencement.

Where are the ceremonies held?

The Dornsife School of Public Health ceremony will be held on a TBD date in June 2023. The University-wide ceremony will be held on within the following days (date also TBD), usually at Citizen’s Bank Park (1 Citizens Bank Way). Visit the Dornsife Commencement page and the Drexel Commencement site for updated ceremony information.

Where and when do I arrive to the day-of ceremonies?

The Dornsife School of Public Health ceremony details will be posted to the Dornsife Commencement page once they are finalized. While we hope everyone will be able to attend, for those who cannot join us in person, the ceremony will also be live streamed.

Where and when do guests arrive to the day-of ceremonies?

These details will be provided by late May 2023.

Is parking available?

Free parking is available on campus on a first come-first serve basis. Please visit the Drexel Commencement page for more information.

How do I get an accommodation for the Commencement Ceremonies?

Accommodations are available for students and guests in need. Please visit the Commencement page for more information.

I need a formal invitation to apply for a visa.

If you have a friend or family member planning to visit the U.S. to see you for a short period, this person could be eligible to apply for a B-2 visa. The B-2 visa is valid for visits of 6 months or less and is only used for recreational visits. As the host for your visitor, our office recommends that you write a support letter for your guest.
