CHP TRAVEL SUBSIDY

The Department of Community Health and Prevention offers a limited number of travel subsidies to full-time CHP students who are pursuing their PhD. These funds are available to help support travel for doctoral students to a conference in their field.

Awards are competitive and will be considered on a case-by-case basis. To apply, please fill out the Student Travel Subsidy Application (linked) in accordance with the deadlines below. In addition to the application, materials must include:

  1. Detailed budget
  2. Information about whether and what the student will be presenting
  3. Student summary of the professional development benefits of attending the conference
  4. Letter of support from the faculty mentor. In the LOS from the faculty mentor, please ask that they indicate whether and how much grant or other funding they are contributing to help support this travel.

Note that awards will only be made after proof of presentation acceptance is provided. Students will be reimbursed upon submission of receipts from the conference to Wendy Thurman and only expenses allowable by Drexel University policies will be reimbursed. University policy requires that requests be submitted within 60 days of travel.
