Phi Nguyen
Assistant Dean of Students
Student Affairs | Nesbitt Hall, 234 | 267.359.6053

Phi Nguyen has a strong foundation in supporting students in health and science fields, having worked for several years at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine before joining Drexel in 2010. Upon arriving at Drexel, Phi was tasked with increasing engagement and student programming for students enrolled on the Center City Campus. She supported student organizations, improved shared student spaces, and connected students to resources and opportunities. In 2012, she assumed responsibility for graduate student support, from reworking graduate orientation to bolstering the Graduate Student Association to become an autonomous and empowered organization.

As a result of her student affairs background, Phi enjoys working with students on a wide range of topics. Some of her professional interests include global education, community engagement, peer mentorship and career development. Phi advocates for her students and believes in a collaborative and holistic approach to student services.

In her current role at Dornsife School of Public Health, she oversees admissions, student recruitment, career services and alumni relations at the School. She is heavily involved with the Public Health Alumni Network board of directors and works with them to engage public health alumni and students. Public health students obtain skills that will enable them to promote health, prevent disease and save lives through research and action. With costs of health care rising, the need for public health professionals is growing.
