National Public Health Week begins next week from April 5- April 11! Each day we will be highlighting one or two organizations that are planning some events: Today we highlight Peer Health Educators (PHE)!
Join the Peer Health Educators (PHE) graduate student organization to support advancing racial equity for Tuesday, April 6th of National Public Health Week. The Peer Health Educators seek to improve minority maternal and child health outcomes through pre-conception peer health education. The event will include both a general body meeting and part 1 of the Level 1 Peer Health Educator training.
You will gain a certificate for completing part 1 and part 2 of the Level 1 PHE training, part 2 of the training will take place the following week on April 13th at 7pm during Black Maternal Health Week. The general body meeting will be held during the first part of the event and will provide information about PHE membership and upcoming events/initiatives. Part 1 of the Level 1 PHE training will be given by the PHE executive board and will take up the remainder of the event. We are excited for you to join us and the effort to advance racial equity in maternal and child health.
