Alumni Mentoring Program (AMP) Feedback

Please share feedback about your experiences this year!

As we begin to prep for the 2020-2021 academic year’s Alumni Mentoring Program, we would like to encourage all of those who participated in AMP this past fall/ winter to share feedback about their experiences.

We look forward to improving this program in the future and allowing for more opportunities for engagement. If you haven’t done so already, please share your thoughts on this survey.

Student Emergency Fund

If you are in need of financial assistance due to emergency expenses (including those related to COVID-19), we encourage you to apply for the Student Emergency Fund.

The Student Emergency Fund (SEF) was established as a partnership between Student Life, Institutional Advancement, and Drexel Central to support students who are in need of immediate financial assistance due to unexpected emergency expenses. The SEF is designed to provide one-time funding for expenses incurred due to temporary hardships such as accidents, illness, death of a family member, natural disasters, or loss of Co-op. Our goal is to help students during an emergent time of need to continue their education at Drexel and make progress towards a degree.

Student Voice: Online Learning Survey

Student Government Organization (SGO) created the following survey for student feedback at all levels (undergraduate, master’s, doctoral) regarding online learning:

This quarter’s remote learning situation has required patience and time to adjust for students and faculty alike. With the continuation of the coronavirus pandemic in the months to come, Dornsife is preparing for the possibility that Fall 20-21 quarter may be held remotely. We are hoping to learn from students what worked during this quarter and what could be improved upon so that returning and new students can have the best experience in the Fall. Please fill out the survey if you have a moment. It should take no more than 5 minutes

Student Affairs will be collaborating with Student Government Organization to Disseminate this information to appropriate parties

7 Essentials to Have for a Well-Stocked Kitchen

Before bracing yourself for the long lines at the local supermarket or waiting for an open delivery time, make sure you have a shopping list to avoid buying things that you really don’t need. Forget about stockpiling on instant noodles and frozen dinners and look at what you already have on hand. Below are some items to use as a starting point for your shopping list, but keep in mind you should be buying foods or drinks you would normally consume!

Grains

  • Pasta (i.e Macaroni)
  • Rice (i.e. White, brown, medium-grain, short-grain)
  • Bread
  • Ancient grains (i.e. Quinoa, farro, barely)

Legumes

  • Lentils
  • Beans (i.e. Chickpeas, kidney beans, black beans)

Vegetables & Fruits

  • Canned vegetables/fruit
  • Frozen vegetables/fruit
  • Dried fruit
  • Long-lasting fresh fruit (i.e. Apples, oranges, lemons)
  • Long-lasting fresh vegetables (i.e. potatoes, sweet potatoes, carrots, onions, garlic, ginger)

Protein

  • Poultry (i.e. Chicken or turkey)
  • Seafood (i.e. Frozen salmon)
  • Beef
  • Pork
  • Tofu (i.e. Silken, soft, firm, extra firm)
  • Tempeh
