Annual Programs & Events

The Office of Student Affairs creates a purposeful and supportive community where students can develop leadership and life skills, develop meaningful relationships, promote change on campus, and explore new interests. Each year, Student Affairs hosts exciting extra-curricular programs that compliment classroom learning and accentuate the growth of personal and professional skills, such as decision making, time management, communication, problem solving, and budgeting. Read below for more details on our annual programming.

Programs and Events

Alumni Mentoring Program

The Dornsife Public Health Alumni Network (PHAN) offers the Alumni Mentoring Program (AMP) to all Dornsife students. The purpose of AMP is to connect current students with alumni and provide an opportunity for mentorship and professional growth.

All alumni and current students are eligible to participate in the AMP. Enrollment opens each September and closes the following March and will be announced on DASH. PHAN and Student Affairs will review applications to assign an alumni mentor with a student mentee. Participants will be asked to complete a survey in order to improve the program and make adjustments. Please contact Michelle Quigley with questions.

American Public Health Association (APHA)

APHA is a 150 year old public health professional organization that champions the health of all people and all communities. Each year, the APHA community gathers at the Annual Meeting and Expo, where nearly 13,000 attendees arrive to present, learn and find inspiration.

Coffee & Convos

Coffee & Convos offers students and public health professionals an opportunity to connect and network. Professionals will share information about their organization and experiences to help students explore work environments, industries, and public health career paths over coffee.
