Alumni Mentoring Program
The Dornsife Public Health Alumni Network (PHAN) offers the Alumni Mentoring Program (AMP) to all Dornsife students. The purpose of AMP is to connect current students with alumni and provide an opportunity for mentorship and professional growth.
All alumni and current students are eligible to participate in the AMP. Enrollment opens each September and closes the following March and will be announced on DASH. PHAN and Student Affairs will review applications to assign an alumni mentor with a student mentee. Participants will be asked to complete a survey in order to improve the program and make adjustments. Please contact Michelle (McDermott) Quigley with questions.
American Public Health Association (APHA)
APHA is a 150 year old public health professional organization that champions the health of all people and all communities. Each year, the APHA community gathers at the Annual Meeting and Expo, where nearly 13,000 attendees arrive to present, learn and find inspiration.
Learn more about APHA Student Memberships.
Coffee & Convos offers students and public health professionals an opportunity to connect and network. Professionals will share information about their organization and experiences to help students explore work environments, industries, and public health career paths over coffee. To RSVP and for full details on the next event, please visit the Events Calendar tab. For questions, please email Caroline Voyles.
National Public Health Week
Developed by the American Public Health Association (APHA), National Public Health week brings together communities across the United States to recognize the contributions of public health and highlight issues that are important to improving our nation’s health. Celebrate with Dornsife in this week long series of events to celebrate the power of prevention, advocate for healthy and fair policies, share strategies for successful partnerships, and champion the role of a strong public health system.
Each year, Student Affairs and the Office of Public Health Practice collaborate to provide workshops designed to fine tune your professional skills and prepare you for the workplace, both during and after your Drexel degree! This series is open to all Dornsife undergraduate and graduate students. This series impacts successful completion of PBHL 500 (see Requirements)
