Mutual Aid: Empowering Communities in Times of Crisis

In the wake of a global pandemic and increasing climate disasters, many are faced with economic hardships that make it challenging to access necessities like food. Enter mutual aid. This invaluable resource provides direct support to community members and works to build networks of compassion that address immediate needs.

Join us on Tuesday, December 6 at 7:00PM ET via Zoom for an in-depth discussion on the role of mutual aid organizations and how they bring communities together to fill resource gaps and promote widespread well-being. Panelists include:

  • Natalie Shaak, MS ’15, BS ’22, moderator, operations manager Center for Hunger-Free Communities, Dornsife School of Public Health.
  • Anthony James, program coordinator, Northwest Mutual Aid Collective
  • Aziza Young (Aka Chef Z), chef, Everybody Eats Philly

In lieu of a registration fee, please consider making a gift to support the Alumni Turkey Project.
