Volunteer Opportunity: Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP)

CHOP’s MFP seeks volunteers to serve as greeters and basic tax preparers this coming tax season. In partnership with Campaign for Working Families, Inc. and the federal VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) program, volunteers will become certified to deliver this valuable service with only a few hours of self-guided online training. Volunteer shifts will be available throughout tax season (Jan 17-April 17) at CHOP’s Karabots Primary Care Center located at 48th & Market Streets.

Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) acknowledges poverty as one of the most powerful social determinants of health. That’s why CHOP’s Medical Financial Partnership (MFP) offers free, high-quality, and easy-to-access financial services to patient families from within the healthcare setting. MFP’s flagship service provides free tax preparation to ensure families are claiming all the deductions and credits for which they’re eligible.
