The 2022 Drexel Maternal and Child Health (MCH) Symposium will highlight, elevate, and support the work of community health workers (CHWs) and their work in maternal and child health. This years keynote speaker, Patricia Peretz, MPH, Director, Community and Population Health Strategy, New York-Presbyterian Hospital, will talk on “A Hospital-Community Partnership Model Supporting and Sustaining CHW-Led Programs.” Panel Discussions will highlight Philadelphia CHW programs, innovative CHW training and workforce development efforts, the unique experience and expertise of CHWs, and strategies to support CHWs going forward.
This year’s symposium will be a hybrid event with limited in-person capacity. Those who plan to attend in person are encouraged to register early as spots will fill quickly. All Drexel COVID-related precautions will be followed. Boxed lunches will be provided following the event.
