The Public Health Case Competition, developed by the Office of Public Health Practice at the Dornsife School of Public Health (DSPH), is open to all DSPH undergraduate, MS, and MPH students who want to engage in a unique learning experience, address a Philadelphia public health problem in a team environment, and have a chance to win prize money!
The Case Competition offers students a unique experience to address challenges facing the field of public health. Students will work in multidisciplinary teams of 5 to find innovative ways to address a challenging public health scenario. The entire case competition occurs over a short time, requiring student teams to collaborate effectively and quickly before creating a written deliverable, a graphic deliverable (people’s choice), and answering questions from a panel of judges on competition day in hopes of winning a monetary prize.
Prizes for 2022 are as follows:
- Winning Team ($1000 per team)
- Honorable Mention ($500 per team)
- People’s Choice Award ($500 per team)
Registration opens January 18 and closes on January 23.
