Military Memorial Tree Planting

Join the Office of Veteran Student Services on Friday, November 5 from 12:00PM-1:30PM at Drexel Park (N 32nd Street and Powelton Avenue)!

Please join the campus and community in honoring and remembering Drexel Veterans past and present in a special memorial tree planting at Drexel Park.  This event is rain or shine and offers attendees the opportunity to plant four trees to beautify our neighborhood and campus while memorializing military service members and supporting environmental sustainability.   Please come prepared to roll up your sleeves to plant these trees or show your support on the sidelines.  There will be a brief program to honor recently passed Drexel Patriots, Chuck McNally, U.S. Army Veteran, Assistant Dean, College of Arts & Sciences, Adrian Jordan, U.S. Navy Veteran, College of Arts & Sciences and John “Johnny” Cook, U.S. Army Veteran, College of Engineering.  Special thanks to the Office of Veteran Student Services, Drexel Veterans Task Force, Drexel Alumni Relations, Drexel Real Estate and Facilities, Drexel Army ROTC, Drexel Veterans Association, College of Arts & Sciences, College of Engineering, Office of University Protocol, Philadelphia Horticultural Society, Tree Philly, and Comcast Universal and Philadelphia Action Tank for making this event possible.
