The purpose of this event is to provide a supportive space for survivors of sexual assault, intimate partner violence, sex and gender-based harassment, and stalking to share their personal stories and/or artwork and give voice to the complexities, struggles, and triumphs of healing in the wake of sexual violence. If you are interested in attending but not speaking, please register via the link above. If you are interested in sharing your artwork, a design, or written submission, please use this form and provide your submission by Thursday, April 22nd.
Unless you explicitly specify that you would like to personally read your submission aloud and provide your email address, your name will be kept private to respect the wishes of each survivor. Please also indicate below your interest level in reading your account aloud as in the event that we receive more submissions than time permits, we’d like to accommodate everyone’s preferences so that all who wish to share may do so. This will be a public webinar and all are welcome to attend. Jefferson has invited and partnered with other Philadelphia area schools, students, faculty, staff, and community members, specifically Villanova, Penn, Ursinus, Haverford, Bryn Mawr, St. Joe’s, West Chester, Drexel, Arcadia, U Arts, PCOM, Gwynned Mercy, and Eastern to join in this virtual event where we can all have the opportunity to come together to listen and support one another.
*We ask that participants keep in mind that this event is public when they are deciding what information to include, if any, about the identity of the respondents. Different universities may have differing policies as to which information may trigger mandatory reporting requirements if the respondent’s identity is disclosed.
For any questions or to learn about resources available to you, please don’t hesitate to contact Jefferson’s Title IX Coordinator Katie Colgan Vodzak at titleix@jefferson.edu.
