April is recognized as Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM). The goal of SAAM is to raise public awareness about sexual violence, educate communities on how to prevent it and bolster prevention efforts throughout the year. Since 2001, the National Sexual Violence Resource Center has coordinated the SAAM campaign observed every April. This year’s theme is ‘We Can Build Safe Online Spaces.’
