Women in Leadership: Rebounding with Resilience

Join the Drexel University Black Alumni Council (DUBAC) on Wednesday, April 7th, from 7:00PM-9:00PM EST via Zoom!

This special event will feature successful Drexel alumnae of color who will share their experiences, wisdom and insight on leadership in the face of uncertainty, setbacks and age-old discrimination.

According to the Center for American Progress (2020), women of color often stand at the intersection of the combined effects of racial and gender bias while navigating systems and institutional structures that are designed to maintain the status quo. Panelists will share their personal and professional experiences of pivoting, moving forward and rising to the occasion in the workplace against the backdrop of the global pandemic, economic insecurity and long-standing systems and institutional structures.

Moderated by April Lancit ’10, the panelists include:

  • Barbara Bungy ’07, President and Chief Executive Officer of BLB Consulting Group
  • Rasagna Holt, President of KGTiger Corporation
  • Sharon Manker ’14, Senior Diversity Program Lead, National Supplier Diversity at American Water Works Service Company, Inc.
  • Jamila Payne ’00, ’11, Founder of the Daily Success Routine Productivity System and Host of the Daily Success Show Podcast
