6 Thanksgiving Week Virtual and In-Person Philly Events


1. Thanksgiving Virtual Day Celebration: In lieu of the annual Thanksgiving parade, ABC is holding a day long celebration with live performances, floats, celebrity guests.

2. Thanksgiving Leftover Cooking Class: If you have some extra stuffing and other Thanksgiving leftovers, join this free cooking class this Saturday at 6:30PM-7:45PM to remake them into a new dish.

3. Comedy Roasts: Comedians will be roasting the film “It’s a Wonderful Life” this Sunday from 3:00PM to 5:00PM.

4. Pennsylvania Ballet: Watch the Pennsylvania Ballet’s digital season available for free on November 25th after registering for an account.


1. PHestival of Tress: Socially distance in this drive through holiday event where you can see 200 decorated holiday tress, a Hanukkah menorah, Kwanzaa imagery, a light show, and Santa. This event will occur this Friday to this Sunday at the Philadelphia Fairgrounds. Tickets cost $20 per vehicle and funds go to local animal shelters.

2. Holiday Garden Railway: In the Morris Arboretum, the Holiday Garden Railway is open daily, 10am-4pm on the days after Thanksgiving ($20 per adult). Additionally, there is a nightly holiday lights version with advanced ticket purchase required.
