Understanding and effectively managing conflict is an important part of creating and maintaining an inclusive campus culture. This workshop, facilitated by Drexel’s Office of Equality and Diversity, provides an overview of conflict, highlighting a variety of sources of conflict and their impact on member satisfaction and retention. Participants will be introduced to the concept of moving from differentiation (acknowledging difference) towards integration (superordinate goal) by moving beyond positions towards interests. Participants will explore strategies and techniques to manage conflict in the Drexel community.
