Dr. Tierra M. Pritchett is the Director of Legislative and Regulatory Affairs at Health Partners Plans (HPP). She manages projects and initiatives that affect health care delivery for members receiving Medicaid, Medicare and the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP). In addition, Dr. Pritchett is a registered lobbyist for the organization advocating and influencing decisions that impact the organization while building positive relationships with legislators.
Previously, Tierra was the Special Advisor to the Deputy Commissioner at the Philadelphia Department of Behavioral Health and Intellectual disability Services (DBHIDS) working directly with many Philadelphia community agencies. She oversaw the development of policy positions, taking on the impact of trends and initiatives in Immigrant Affairs, Community Based Services, Training, Trauma Transformation, Peer Culture and Inclusion.
Dr. Pritchett is a trusted advisor, committed health care advocate and dedicated action minded leader. She applies herself both internationally and locally. Tierra is the founding Chairwoman of Hand to Hand International ensuring progressive impact of preventative health education in Haiti and serves on the Board of Providence House, in Chester Pennsylvania, which provides psychiatric rehabilitation services. She also coordinated participation in hosting Fellows from President Obama’s Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI), Mandela Washington Fellowship. In addition is the recipient of the 2019 Mandela Washington Reciprocal Exchange grant through the U.S. Department of State.
Dr. Pritchett has a Doctorate of Education in Innovation and Leadership from Wilmington University, and gained a Master of Science in Organizational and Strategic Leadership from Neumann University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Widener University.
